Full Description
A trench was excavated in this area in October 2011 by MAS as part of the Book of Deer Project, across a bank between Ugiebrae House and Russell Street. A partial section was excavated across the outer (west) face of the raised bank. No finds or features were uncovered. Ugiebrae House is depicted on the 1st edition OS map and the property is shown with a series of north-south cultivated strips bounded by the curved path that survives today. The bank would appear to be a field dyke between the path and the allotments.
