Full Description

Site of a farmstead, depicted on the 1st edition and the 2nd edition OS maps. They show the farmstead as two adjoining rectangular buildings with a well to the southeast. A watching brief was maintained by MAS in December 2008 at this site during topsoil stripping for a proposed new veterinary surgery. No traces of the farm buildings which previously occupied this site or their foundations were evident. No features or finds of archaeological significance were encountered.
