Full Description

Stone clearance heaps, lengths of turf and stone banks recorded in 1987 during pre-afforestation survey in Glen Rinnes. The area contains a variety of features, most conspicuously stone clearance heaps in the southwest quadrant. Elsewhere, particularly on the east side of this area, possible stone clearance heaps and detached lengths of banking have been disrupted by peat extraction and by irregularly shaped depressions which probably result from windblown trees. Low turf and stone banks are also visible in the area between the margin of the quarry and the fence line which marks its northwest side.
