Full Description

Site of a Roman Catholic chapel which was situated in the northwest corner of field named Chapel Park. It was visible in the 18th century but removed circa 1820. The burial ground was found whilst making a road to the fields. No trace of the chapel and no information regarding the dedication was found by OS site visit in 1972. A rectangular block of stone with the word 'chapel' neatly chiselled is built into the base of a wall at NJ91693188. The field is still known as Chapel Park. Any remains have probably been removed by sand quarrying.
