Full Description
Site of pre-Reformation chapel, foundations of which were visible in the late 18th/early 19th century. OS found no trace in site visit in 1970. Site inspection by contractors for Scottish Water in July 2023 ahead of proposed water mains replacement observed possible traces related to the chapel: an alignment of stone masonry blocks, pieces of white marble, possible pottery, worked red stone, and possible carved wood. See NJ93SE0154 for a watching brief to the north east which uncovered structural remains which may be, or be related to, the chapel.
