Full Description
Flint-working site. An 1895 account records 'flint arrowheads and other weapons found beside hearths of 'remains of Picts' Houses whose fireplaces were easily distinguishable by the arrangement of stones and by the charred remains which were abundant about them'. It was in a field in the vicinity of NJ93NW0002 which was brought into cultivation in the early part of the 19th century. The account states that flints were so numerous that local people gathered handfuls each time the field was ploughed. No further information.
