Full Description
Site of pre-Reformation chapel. The OS Name Book (1866) notes that it was known by tradition that a chapel had stood in this field, but at that time there was no visible trace and no one could pinpoint its location. A tombstone was found near the site in 1980, but no surface indications of a chapel in the area. No other finds have been reported from the area,.
