Full Description

A test pit evaluation was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2010 along the line of a four drains for golf course development (for evaluation along a fifth drain see NJ92SE0147) Two bipolar flint cores and a flake were recovered from one test pit (TP31), but no other artefacts recovered. Test pit TP21 was cut across the line of a storm beach recorded during previous fieldwork confirming that this had been formed as the result of sea erosion.
