Full Description

Site of a series of boundary stones marking the border of Foveran and Belhelvie parishes along the course of the Sandend Burn. On the 1st edition OS map there are six stones arranged in three pairs either side of the burn. To the north-east there are three posts which mark the boundary across the links after the burn heads north. By the time of the 2nd edition OS map four stones are marked. The two to the south are a pair which is marked on the 1st edition map. The two to the north are not marked on the 1st edition map. The most northerly, however, replaces one of the posts marked on the 1st edition map. None of these features is shown on the 2005 map. None of the stones could be located in survey by AOC Archaeology 2006.
