Full Description

A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in 2010 ahead of proposed development. Eight trenches (7 percent of the development area) were excavated across the site. A number of field drains were uncovered but no archaeological features or artefacts were recorded. A watching brief by MAS in 2006 at NJ 9254 1171 recorded only the remains of a 19th century dry stone wall of rubble construction.
