Full Description

A walkover survey was carried out by S Buchanan in November 2007 ahead of works associated with the Glashieburn Flood Prevention Scheme. The site had been heavily disturbed in modern times, probably by the construction of Scotstown Road and housing developments. A small drystone wall across the eastern boundary of the site is not thought to be of great antiquity. A monitoring visit in February 2008 noted that all the planned groundworks had been completed, and there was at that time no evidence for the existence or survival of archaeological features or artefacts.
