Full Description
Geophysical survey was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2012, followed by a programme of trial trenching in 2013 ahead of the new western bypass. Most of the trenches revealed no archaeological features. One pit was uncovered in trench NL1072 (circa NJ 95477 14105). It contained modern pottery and glass as well as a single flint flake, and was thought likely to be the result of a tree throw.
