Full Description

A programme of archaeological investigation was carried out by CFA Archaeology between March and June 2017 for installation of new underground cable between Blackdog and Stoneyhill Wood, Aberdeenshire and refurbishment of overhead line between Stoneyhill Wood and Kintore Substation, Aberdeenshire. Desk based assessment (2016) was followed by walkover survey along the route. Investigations on the cable route included the cable route wayleave and access to it. No new sites were identified along this cable section during fieldwalking. See also NJ71SE0143 for western end of the route and Aberdeen City HER NJ81SW0309.
