Full Description

Site of farmstead, depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows an L-plan range, with a horse-mill on the northwest side, and a separate rectangular building forming the southwest side to a court. By the time of the 2nd edition, the rectangular building had been removed, but a rectangular building added to the east of the steading, and an L-plan building added to the southeast of the steading. Current maps indicate that the west end of the steading has since been removed, and a new building added to the north side of the steading replacing the horsemill. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out in 2017 prior to proposed demolition. Various alterations were identified, and it is likely that the building added to the east, shown on the 2nd edition OS map, was a joiner's and millwright's workshop.
