Full Description

A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in January 2012 ahead of housing development. Ten trenches (7 percent of the area) were excavated. A number of stone and ceramic drains were uncovered, and three quarry pits were recorded, these probably used to provide building materials for the construction of Airyhall House. No other archaeological features or finds of significance were recorded.
