Full Description
Remains of a farmstead depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows a U-plan steading open to the southeast. There had been some small additions to the steading by the time of the 2nd edition and a new building added to the west. Standing building survey was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in October 2014 ahead of proposed development. The buildings were very ruinous, the main buildings, comprising a U-plan steading, were of large granite rubble. The northwest wing comprised a 2-room cottage with chimneys and fireplaces at each end. Subsequent watching brief in March 2015 recorded no archaeological features or artefacts.
