Full Description
Watching briefs were carried out by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit in April 2008 and October 2009 on test pits related to closure of a landfill site. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded. Monitoring of topsoil stripping in the eastern part of this area for an attenuation pond recorded a number of linear features, probably field drains for 19th century agricultural improvements. On the southern boundary of this area was a drystone dyke depicted on the OS 1st edition map.
