Full Description
Site of a vault with two large box coffins containing a large quantity of human bone. Discovered in 1923 by workmen demolishing houses in Blackfriars Street and preparing foundations for the building of an extension to the Art Gallery and War Memoria Court (NJ90NW0568). The remains were believed to be those of 30-40 individuals. It is not clear whether these related to the Dominican Friary (NJ90NW0041).
