Full Description
Site of a drinking fountain which stood at the junction of Great Northern Road and Clifton Road in front of the Northern Hotel and which is depicted on the OS 3rd edition map. It was erected by Miss Jane Forbes Taylor in memory of her father Alexander Taylor, a wholesale draper in Aberdeen. The fountain caters for humans, horses and dogs, with water available at three levels. It was moved to Duthie Park (NJ90SW0989) and now stands outside the David Welch Winter Gardens, known as the Taylor Well (NJ90SW1129).
