Full Description

A watching brief was carried out by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit/Cameron Archaeology in November-December 2011 during excavation of service trenches to Provost Skene's House (NJ90NW0014). Trenches 1 and 3 contained no archaeological features of artefacts. Trench 2 was excavated without monitoring, but the excavators reported that 'an original slate floor' had been observed at its base and left in-situ.
