Full Description

An archaeological evaluation carried out by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit in September 2007 ahead of proposed development recorded a substantial subterranean feature constructed of granite running across the south end of the site. Excavation of this area in November 2007 concluded that this was almost certainly a clean water outfall dating to the 19th-century. The trenches at this end of the site also recorded substantial remains of 19th and 20th century buildings.
