Full Description
Two small farmsteads stand on either side of a burn. The eastern one is called Belnoe and the western Bolletten. On the OS map of 1846 Belnoe consisted of eight small buildings and enclosures scattered along the eastern bank of the burn, with a lime kiln at NJ2253 2037. Only one complete building survives. Bolletten has four buildings and two enclosures with a limekiln at NJ2249 2044. Two of the buildings survive complete, another is in ruins and the fourth is no longer depicted. It is unknown if anything survives of the limekilns or not. A farmstead of Belnoe is also shown on an estate map of 1761.
