Full Description
Site of a World War II temporary hutted military accommodation camp. A large Nissen hutted camp is visible on RAF photographs taken in 1945. After the war the Council took over the Camp for use to house homeless families. German prisoners of war were engaged at the temporary prefab housing site, which also included a pre-frabricated school.. The area is now occupied by later housing.
