Full Description
Site of a stone well recorded by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit during building work in 1990. It was poorly constructed, with clay and wood surrounding the top. It had wooden struts across it at intervals down the shaft and a lead water pipe running from the ground surface into the water at the bottom. The well measured 0.85m in diameter and 4m in depth. It may have been associated with the timber yard which was on the site during the 19th century.
