Full Description

Site of a well which stood in Golden Square, and which was badly damaged during World War II. It dated from at least 1821 when it was used by residents of Golden Square and surrounding streets, which were built on lands owned by the Hammermen's Incorporation. A key for the pump was held in each of the houses. The well structure has been restored and stands in the entrance of Trinity Hall, Holburn Street, headquarters of Aberdeen Incorporated Trades.
