Full Description
An anti-aircraft gun appears to have been located on Broadhill during at least part of the First World War. An article in the Press and Journal of September 1918 gives notice of day and night firing from the gun at Broadhill, although its exact location is uncertain. Mid 20th century photos show huts on top of Broad Hill, possibly related to World War II defences although their function is unclear.
