Full Description
Site of chapel. The ruins of an old Roman Catholic chapel situated at Chapelden, opposite the Tore of Troup were noted in the OS Name Book (1871) which stated that the walls had been demolished and the only remains were a heap of stones which were regarded as sacred up to their removal in 1855. Is existence can be traced down to the Reformation. Now no trace or local knowledge of this chapel can be found.
