Full Description
Site of cairn. The OS Name Book (1870) records that a conical mound had been partially excavated some years previously, but it was not known with what results. At the time of OS visit 1967, the farmer stated that the spot where it stood is difficult to plough because of the large amount of stones beneath the surface. A watching brief was carried out on part of the site in 2015 (NJ85SE0042).
