Full Description
Stone-built corn-drying kiln excavated by CFA in 2019, following on from identification of features during a watching brief within the cable route corridor for the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm (NJ66SE0330). The corn-drying kiln comprised of two large sub-circular pits linked by a flue. The fire pit was to the southwest cut into the natural sand, with a substantial dry-stone chamber to the northeast. No archaeological finds were recovered to indicate a date.
