Full Description

Possible site of a castle. In 1252 there is reference to a 'domus' at Crimond belonging to Sir Simon de Gartly. The site of this domus or manor house is not known but it may have occupied the site of one of the farms that now bear the name Crimond. Alternatively it may be the same castle as that later called Ardiharral or Kendal - NJ82SW0027.
