Full Description
Site of chapel. A circular flat-topped mound marks the site of this chapel but there are no visible remains. Many human bones, suggesting a graveyard, were found when the road to the north was being made (prior to 1866). Two sculptured stones (NJ82SE0019) set in a wall are said to be tombstones which were at the chapel site in 1800. The mound has been landscaped as a garden feature.
ORDNANCE SURVEY, 1871, Ordnance Name Book, No22(1866) 13 (Bibliographic reference). SAB1360.
