Full Description
A monitored topsoil strip and trial trench was carried out by Murray Archaeological Services in September - October 2020 ahead of proposed development (plots 1-4). A single trench was excavated east of Hedger Hall (Nj82NW0052) but no archaeological features or finds recorded. A watching brief during topsoil stripping of plots 1, 2 and part of 3 recorded a 1905 penny and a few sherds of 19th and 20th century china near the cottage, but no features of archaeological significance.
