Summary

Full Description
Excavation was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2014 to further investigate the area in which a small pit was recorded in trial trenching in 2013 (see NJ81SE0641) ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. The pit was 4.3m in diameter and contained only one sherd of modern pottery and an 18th or 19th century brick. A second small pit was found in 2014 as well as field drains and four concrete pads. All are thought to relate to modern activity.
