Excavation was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2014 to further investigate a burnt spread recorded in trial trenching in 2013 (see NJ81SE0641) ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.

Full Description
Excavation was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2014 to further investigate a burnt spread recorded in trial trenching in 2013 (see NJ81SE0641) ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. The only features recorded related to the post medieval period, comprising a possible 19th century track, a modern track and gully reused as a drainage ditch. The burnt spread previously recorded was found to be the roots of a burnt bush.
