Full Description
A circular post-hole structure identified during a watching brief carried out by Cameron Archaeology in January to February 2015 during the topsoil stripping for gas main replacement associated with the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (see also NJ81SE0611). It was poorly preserved but comprised 8 post-holes with an off-centre pit filled with large stones. The south of the structure appears to have been ploughed out. The post-holes were filled with burnt loam and charcoal; no artefacts were recovered in cleaning over these features. The feature was retained in situ.
