Full Description
Geophysical survey was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2012 ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. At circa NJ 84764 02212 this identified a linear pattern which may represent traces of rig and furrow cultivation. Some possible linear features at circa NJ 84376 01824 may be archaeological. Trial trenching was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2013, and recorded a number of archaeological features: NJ80SW0463, NJ80SW0465, NJ80SW0467. A watching brief during excavation of trial pits in 2008 along the line of the AWPR Southern Leg had recorded no archaeological features.
