Full Description
Geophysical survey was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2012 ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. At circa NJ 85669 00900 a pattern of divergent linear markings suggest the presence of a system of naturally silted former channels. Trial trenching carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2013 recorded features in several areas: NJ80SE0567, NJ80SE0569, NJ80SE0571, NJ80SE0573. A watching brief during excavation of trial pits in 2008 along the line of the AWPR Southern Leg had recorded no archaeological features.
