Full Description

Gardens and designed landscape of Dalhebity (NJ80SE0511). The 1st edition shows a house, then named Dalhibity Cottage, set within wooded grounds. There is a small building and a bowling green on the east boundary. These are no longer shown on the OS 2nd edition map. Southeast of the house is a garden with greenhouses. A group of buildings has been added northeast of the house and a lodge to the northwest. In November 2007-January 2008 Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit carried out a standing building survey prior to demolition, and a watching brief during soil stripping of the garden, related to works for redevelopment, also recorded a well, but no other features of archaeological significance.
