Linear feature recorded during trial trenching by Headland Archaeology in 2013 ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. It ran north-south across the trench, measuring 7 m wide and 1.3 m deep with gently sloping sides and a flat base. No dating material was recovered but its loose fill suggested a relatively recent date. It is possibly a field boundary but does not equate to any feature on OS mapping from the mid or late 19th century. Monitored topsoil stripping carried out by Headland Archaeology in October 2015 recorded two ditches, that recorded previously, 5 m wide running circa northwest - southeast, which followed the alignment of a hollow-way identified prior to mitigation works. The second, north-south, ditch was more ephemeral.
