Full Description
Smith (1875) reported that 'two coffins of stone, containing skulls and other bones were found, in 1850, a little to the north of the mansion house of Cults. Around these cists there was a circle of stones about 18 ft in diameter'. The cists were probbably removed prior to, or during, house building.
The exact position of these two cists is not known, but this area is now occupied by a housing estate, Darroch Park. The circle of stones that is said to have enclosed them may have been the remains of a cairn.
