Full Description
Metal-working site comprising a small sub-circular pit, showing evidence of a heat-affected boundary, which was uncovered during an pre-development archaeological trial trenching evaluation (NJ80NW0222). A small quantity of heavy metallic slag was retrieved from the fill which probably indicates small scale metalwork processing, probably lead.
