Summary

Two Roman urns, a Roman sword and the point of two spears reported in the New Statistical Account of 1845 'which have been lately found near the line of the Roman road passing through the parish from the River Dee to the River Don.' The finds have been lost and it is thought more likely that they are actually Bronze Age in date.
