Full Description

Trial trenching carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2013 (following on from earlier geophysical survey - NJ80NE0555 - ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route) recorded an isolated pit at this location. The fill contained small amounts of charcoal and industrial debris, along with a fragment of flint which appears to be a microlith of Mesolithic date.
