Full Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by AOC in June 2009 ahead of proposed development of a garden centre. A total of 33 trenches were excavated (10 percent of the area). An arc of pits or postholes was recorded at the western end of Trench 17 but none contained any artefacts which might have indicated date or function. Clay and rubble drains were uncovered across the whole site. No other features or artefacts of archaeological significance were recorded.
