Full Description

A stone lined culvert excavated by CFA in 2019 during a watching brief within the cable route corridor for the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm (NJ66SE0330). The culvert ran north-northeast to south-southwest parallel to the road, circa 40 m by 1.1 m by 0.57 m deep, constructed of large capstones sitting on two walls of small angular stones. No apparent base was uncovered and there was no evidence to suggest it was still in use.
