Full Description
Three isolated pits excavated by CFA in 2019, following on from identification of features during a watching brief within the cable route corridor for the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm (NJ66SE0330). Sub-circular, oval and irregular/B-shaped pits of varying size and depth with steep to shallow sides, and fills that included charcoal, angular and small stones with burrow disturbance at the bases. Modern ceramic, likely from a field drain, was recovered from the irregular shaped pit, potentially from later disturbance.
