Full Description
Site of the manor of Balchers/ Balcors/ Ballchaes (farmhouse). In 1654, Straloch indicated 'Balcors' as a gentleman's seat. It probably did not survive the 17th century for during the second half of that century its lands became incorporated in those of Gairnieston. Its manor house probably lay in the woodland north of the farmhouse (NJ75NW0094).
