Summary

Site of manor of Walkerhill, a possession of the Urquharts from the 14th century until the mid 17th century, it was then bought by Andrew Gerard whose sons numbered amongst the lesser barons of Aberdeenshire in 1690.

Full Description

Site of manor of Walkerhill, a possession of the Urquharts from the 14th century until the mid 17th century, it was then bought by Andrew Gerard whose sons numbered amongst the lesser barons of Aberdeenshire in 1690. Pulled down in 1884, their family seat, which served as a farmhouse until 1879, stood on the E side of the old road connecting Walkerhill and the Mill of Fisherie. Its stones were used to rebuild the steading at Easter Walkerhill.
