Full Description

Site of manor of Fisherie/Fischerie, a property of the Urquharts from the 14th to the 17th centuries. Writing in 1721 a Mr Hepburn reported that the 'manor of Fisherie' then belonged to Duff of Dipple. Pulled down shortly before 1830, some of the stones were incorporated in the existing farmhouse which lies to the east of the site of the earlier structure. Of particular note are a round-headed loophole which is now built into the south gable of the steading, and a moulded stone containing the figure 15 and the letter U. It forms the lintel of the west window of the farmhouse.

Period Notes
Belonged to the Urquharts from 1365 to 1677; pulled down shortly before 1830.
