Full Description

Site of stone circle. The OS Name Book (1871) notes a large boulder said to be the remains of a stone circle. Coles (1903) as two large stones with various smaller stones lying close by. use to remain, with various smaller stones lying close to them. In Coles' opinion they were the removed stones of a circle, huddled together in a heap, but he could obtain no local information on the site. The farmer used these stones to help fill in a mill dam to the northeast in 1963. OS site visit 1973 found nothing and there are now no remains at the site.
